Position: Crane/Diesel/Truck Mechanic

Location: Albuquerque

Reports to: Branch Manager

Pay $32.76 - $39.55 depending on experience, certifications held, and qualifications

Summary: RMS Crane and Rigging Inc. is currently seeking a full-time experienced Crane/Diesel/Truck Mechanic to help build our branch location. The technician will perform maintenance and repairs on cranes, forklifts, and other various equipment. Follows all State and Federal laws while operating motor vehicles. Follows all safety and environmental policies while performing job tasks. The is a union position and membership with Local 953 of the International Union of Operating Engineers is required.

Responsibilities:

- Supply your own tools with up-to-date tool inventory (We have a variety of specialty tools in the shop)

- Must be able to perform scheduled maintenance cranes, forklifts, and other various equipment

- Must be able to document all maintenance and repairs performed on the equipment and file records properly.

- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality

- Ability to work with minimal supervision

- Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

- Understand electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits a plus

- Ability to work some evenings and weekends at the shop or in the field. Some travel is required.

- Must be able to verbally communicate Safety issues to Customers and co-workers on location before and during job task.

- Reports to Supervisor and/or Lead Mechanic on completion of assigned job task for next assignment.

- Hydraulics, electronics, and mechanical crane troubleshooting.

- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or GED.

- At least (2) year experience as a crane mechanic in a diesel trucking or heavy equipment environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience is a plus.

- Ability to safely lift over 40 lbs.

- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.

- Trade school diploma preferred.

- Must have a current CDL class C Driver’s License.
