We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to help our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly in cost management and financial reporting. This role involves preparing financial reports, analyzing costs, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. Responsibilities

- Prepare and analyze cost reports to identify trends and variances

- Conduct cash flow analysis to support financial planning

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

- Perform account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation

- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks.

- Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and GAAP standards

- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support corporate accounting strategies

- Interpret financial reports and provide insights for decision-making

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance cost management initiatives

- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions using double-entry bookkeeping principles

Experience

- Proven experience in cost accounting or a related field, preferably within public accounting

- Strong knowledge of financial concepts including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial analysis

- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero) and ERP systems

- Familiarity with technical accounting principles and practices

- Excellent skills in data collection, account analysis, and general ledger accounting

- Ability to interpret complex financial reports and communicate findings effectively

Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
