Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Fry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking various fried foods while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness.
- Prepare, cook, and present fried foods according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food handling procedures are followed to maintain safety and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked properly and served at the right temperature.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management when stock is low.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Follow all health and safety regulations in accordance with local health department guidelines.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and culinary techniques is essential.
- Experience as a cook or dietary aide is a plus, particularly in fast-paced settings.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation, including fryers, grills, and ovens.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
- A passion for the food industry and commitment to providing excellent customer service is highly valued.
