Role Description
Work Location: 1000 El Camino Real, Millbrae, CA
Work Hours: 7:30am -4:30pm
Project: Regional Dam Repair and Replacement Projects
Under general supervision, performs dam safety monitoring and inspection of SFPUC’s regional dam facility in accordance with California Department Safety of Dams guidelines and regulations. Duties include but are not limited to: conducting periodic inspection of dam, spillway, outlet pipe and structure, valve system and control, instruments such as piezometer, inclinometer, seismic sensor, level sensor, weather station, electronic and telemetry equipment, etc; creating detailed documentation of inspection; troubleshooting electronic and power equipment; collecting instrumentation readings manually, downloading from remote terminal unit, or via personal computer; producing instrumentation data report and inspection report; producing and following through equipment repair and maintenance repair work order; processing maintenance contract; documenting and tracking repair and maintenance task progress; carrying out periodic DSOD inspection, tracking periodic equipment testing; collaborating with engineers to form scope for facility maintenance, upgrades and improvements; reviewing data produce report.

Substitution
One year of full-time employment is equivalent to 2000 hours. (2000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a 40-hour work week.) Any overtime hours that you work above forty (40) hours per week are not included in the calculation to determine full-time employment.
