The Payroll/Project Support Specialist position will provide payroll, accounting, and project support to BWCC. Approximately 75% of time will be spent performing payroll functions, with the remaining 25% providing project support.
Payroll – 75%
•Weekly payroll processing of hours from each individual job site In Sage/Timberline, ensuring accuracy of data submitted.
Process weekly tax upload file for from Timberline to ADP
•Weekly upload of Timberline payroll file to Visibility
•Assist in entering new employees in payroll system as required
•Entry of payroll garnishments and ensure that office managers are notified
•Support weekly hourly Supervision payroll including tracking timesheets and logging hours worked, tracking vacation hours, holiday hours and sick time hours
•Provide verifications of employment for loan applications for craft and supervision
•Backup for unemployment requests and audits
•Process union fringe payments as needed
•Review union rates and update in payroll system to ensure accurate fringe accruals
•Assist with union payroll audits
•Review and file craft employee I-9 forms and ETRS’s scanned from the individual job sites
•Consistently meet deadlines & serve as a reliable and dependable resource
•Maintain payroll check stock and fill check requests to the job sites
•Enter MAO’s estimate into Visibility and maintain MAO spreadsheet
Project Support – 25%
•Inform and consult with project team regarding areas of concern
•Provide ad hoc payroll information to project site team. May be required to do Supervision transfers per the direction of the Contract Manager/Project Accountant
•Provide any needed support to regional operations and jobsites
•Safeguard Company property and resources
•Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to at job site
•May be required to assist Project Accounting with special projects
•May be required to provide financial information/hours in support of the billing function
•Assists in gathering information for audits
•Efficiently and effectively process, organize, create, and file project-related forms and documents
•Demonstrates willingness and ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally to obtain information or solve problems in support of the team’s goals
•Perform other duties/tasks as assigned
•Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience in a union environment
•Proficient in Microsoft Office along with Sage 3000 (Timberline)
•Preferred Experience – working with Visibility
•Well organized and pay attention to detail
