They will assist in the development of health, safety and environmental policies that include the assurance of compliance with all occupational health and safety, environmental and other relevant standards at the new Foundry site in Dickeyville, WI. They will collaborate and assist with planning, establishing, implementing, and maintaining the occupational health, safety and environmental programs to assure the highest possible degree of safety for co-workers. This process includes keeping up to date with all standards, training procedures, relating standards to co-workers and management and deciding when and how we are affected by a standard. This position is designed to be proactive and preventative in scope for the mitigation of workplace injuries and incidents. They will ensure that A.Y. McDonald Mfg. Co. complies with applicable federal and state health, safety and environmental laws, regulations and standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Oversee the required EHS and compliance program and documentation for the new Foundry.
•Conduct periodic EHS audits, assessments and risk evaluations of the site.
•Perform industrial hygiene monitoring and related activities that assure complete compliance with OSHA.
•Take responsibility for the site’s Environmental Management systems and adherence to WI DNR regulations.
•Have the ability to work extended hours and/or any of the various shifts for training, consultation, industrial hygiene monitoring and accident investigation.
•Conduct EHS training to managers and co-workers as necessary to ensure compliance with internal procedures and all regulatory agencies.
•Work with supervisors to help them better understand their role in safety and training.
•Oversee, track to completion, corrective actions derived from audits, risk assessments or internal audits to ensure completion.
•Manage HSE records in accordance with regulatory requirements. Complete and submit, where necessary, accurate and timely regulatory reports for the site.
•Write and update policies for approval specific to the site for safety, health and environmental.
•Establish an effective site safety committee to grow, change and become actively part of the safety culture at AY McDonald Mfg. Co.
•Provide appropriate updates and reports to the management team as necessary.
•Support and enhance the safety culture of the company via co-worker interaction and promoting safety as the number 1 importance of the company.
•Assist the EHS Manager with risk management objectives as needed.
•Perform other related duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of this position or as assigned by the EHS Manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or 3 to 5 years directly related experience and/or training.
