Job Title: Applications Engineer

Reports To: VP of Sales

SUMMARY

Under the direction of the VP of Sales, support sales in the generation of proposals by performing the following duties

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Using customer specifications generate design layouts for new web processing lines.

- Prepare cost estimates using costed bills of material, from the company wide product data base system (“Visibility”) and spreadsheet, of similar equipment.

- Investigate and solicit competitive quotations on vendor-supplied equipment and integrate into the proposed equipment.

- Work with engineering, R&D, and sales to address process and performance issues.

- Develop engineering data and calculations to support new quotations.

- Write detailed sales proposals for new quotations and retrofits.

- Generate order entry spreadsheets, Bills of Material, and supporting documentation.

- Perform occasional sales back-up functions as may be required in the absence of the Sales Engineers.

- Minimal travel may be required to a customer’s facility in order to support the sales effort

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
