Position Summary
The Additive Coordinator plays a critical role in managing fuel additive programs for client accounts, ensuring compliance, precision, and customer satisfaction. This position oversees the end-to-end coordination of additive nominations, injection processes, inventory, and documentation, while serving as a key point of contact for customer communication and follow-up. This role combines technical knowledge with operational discipline and a high degree of customer focus.
Minimum Requirements
As instructed by the Additives Department and under the strict guidelines described within internal procedures.
Education:
•High school diploma or equivalent required.
•Associate's or bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Logistics, or a related technical discipline preferred.
Experience:
•Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in the fuels, petrochemical, or testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) industry.
•Direct experience with additive injection systems, fuel blending, or terminal operations strongly preferred.
•Proven experience in customer-facing roles, with a track record of delivering high service standards, managing customer expectations, and resolving issues.
Technical Skills:
•Strong working knowledge of fuel quality specifications (e.g., ASTM, EPA, ISO standards) and additive functions (e.g., lubricity, cetane, corrosion inhibitors, dyes).
•Experience with automated additive injection equipment, calibration procedures, and maintenance requirements.
•Proficient in technology including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Soft Skills and Competencies:
•Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple nominations, schedules, and customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective coordination with internal teams and external clients.
•High attention to detail, with a commitment to data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and service excellence.
•Strong problem-solving ability, initiative, and ability to work independently or as part of a cross-functional team.
Other Requirements:
•Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on customer demands.
•Ability to work in field environments, including marine terminals, storage tanks, or fuel barges as needed.
•Must possess a valid driver’s license; TWIC card and/or eligibility to access restricted industrial sites may be required.
Responsibilities
•Coordinate and manage fuel additive injection activities at client sites, laboratories, or storage terminals.
•Ensure the correct additive type and dosage is applied according to customer or regulatory requirements (EPA, ASTM, etc.).
•Maintain accurate records of additive inventories, usage logs, and chain of custody documentation.
•Assist in preparing and calibrating additive injection equipment and ensuring all systems are functioning correctly.
•Interface with clients, inspectors, and lab personnel to verify compliance with additive protocols.
•Follow and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and participate in audits or corrective actions.
•Track additive performance data and assist with basic reporting or trend analysis.
•Support logistics planning for additive shipments, deliveries, and replenishment.
•Train or guide new personnel on additive handling procedures and documentation requirements.

Fitness for Duty – Physical Demands
Workdays may consist of 8-12 hours; however, this can vary day to day or shift to shift. Much of the work is performed outdoors, wearing full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and could include possible exposure to high and low temperatures for prolonged duration of time. Work may be performed during day or nighttime hours and may involve working alone.
