The Builder Coordinator supports Millwork production by ensuring builders have all necessary parts, hardware, and documentation to begin and complete projects efficiently. Serving as a liaison between builders and departments like CNC, Finish, Shipping/Receiving, and Metal, this role helps resolve issues, checks quality, tracks missing components, and maintains safety and organization in the builder area. This entry-level position plays a vital role in keeping production flowing smoothly while supporting continuous improvement and craftsmanship.
- Serve as a liaison between builders and the Plant Manager, Shop Foreman, CNC, Finish, Shipping/Receiving, and Metal departments.
- Ensure builders have all required parts and hardware by gathering them before the build starts and retrieving any missing items during the process.
- Communicate any builder questions or concerns to the Shop Foreman and Plant Manager.
- Remove completed or finishing-bound materials from the builder’s area to keep production flowing.
- Check off items on the builder checklist throughout the build process and before handing off to shipping.
- Track and locate any missing checklist items to avoid shipment delays.
- Inspect prefinished parts for quality before providing them to builders.
- Inspect finished products for quality before they are passed to shipping.
- Coordinate with the Metal department to receive and deliver builder-related parts and ensure timely integration.
- Confirm that parts match shop drawings; report discrepancies and poor machining.
- Issue material tickets to the Material Manager when additional materials are required.
- Coordinate and communicate rework needs with the appropriate departments.
- Prep prefinished parts for final assembly as needed.
- Mark up shop drawings for future detailing improvements.
- Document and upload “As-Built” markups into the internal system.
- Maintain a clean and safe builder area by regularly sweeping and removing potential hazards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Some millwork or construction experience is helpful but not required.
- Prior experience in millwork, cabinetry, construction, or manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
- Experience reading or interpreting shop drawings is a plus.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and basic hand or power tools is helpful.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production setting is an advantage.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the production area for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a shop environment with various tools, equipment, and materials.
