Reporting to the Business Innovation & Data Solutions Lead, the Project Coordinator, Business Innovation will play a key supporting role within the Business Innovation & Data Solutions team responsible for coordinating and delivering data-driven projects and supporting digital transformation initiatives.
The Project Coordinator assists with project planning, tracking, and reporting, maintains Power BI dashboards and reports, and supports data integration and validation activities.
- Support the development and ongoing refinement of Power BI dashboards and reports to support business intelligence activities. Gather and analyze business requirements to ensure reporting solutions match stakeholder needs.
- Assist in project planning, tracking, and reporting on BI and data solution projects. Coordinate tasks, schedules, and communications among cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery.
- Support organizational digital skill building in the delivery of user training sessions, workshops, and digital enablement initiatives to promote the adoption of new tools and data-driven practices.
- Assist with data management via integration, cleansing, and validation activities to maintain accurate and reliable datasets. Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate the timely collection and input of data required for reporting.
- Contribute to the creation of user guides, best-practice documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline BI solutions and project workflows.
- Serve as a point of contact for user queries and feedback regarding digital tools and data. Collaborate with business users and technical teams to address challenges and optimize project outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in business analysis, project coordination, product management, or digital operations and proficiency in data visualization using modern BI platforms (Power BI strongly preferred) and well developed (intermediate+) Excel proficiency. - 1+ years experience supporting user training and digital enablement initiatives. - 1+ years experience using low- or no-code environments to develop solutions and automations (Power Platform strongly preferred)- A natural digital curiosity and aptitude for learning new software platforms, with the ability to translate that knowledge into user-friendly guidance for others.
- Strong documentation and process improvement skills.
- Experience managing a full analytics cycle end-to-end from i) project initiation/requirements gathering to ii) developing/testing to iii) delivering/monitoring/supporting, while working with a group of stakeholders.
- Intermediate experience with SQL and basic familiarity with Python is considered an asset.
- Experience and knowledge of GIS data and systems is considered an asset.
- Proven experience driving the adoption of software or digital processes within a team.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate information from multiple sources.
- Experience facilitating training, ranging from one-on-one coaching to small group workshops.
- Proactive, detail-oriented with a passion for technology, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with public sector or conservation-related operations is an asset
- Commitment to continuous learning in digital tools, BI trends, and project management methodologies.
- Salary Range from $70,010.76 to $81,902.94 annually based on a 35-hour work week.
