As the Field Service Representative your duties will include:
- Perform a variety of activities to research and locate underground electric and water facilities utilizing drawings and technical records and electronic cable and pipe detection equipment;
- Prepare and complete drawings and underground field locates for excavators using computerized tools and systems;
- Maintain accurate and up to date records;
- Identify document and report discrepancies in operating records;
- Prepare meter locate service layouts and installation orders for sentinel lights and residential service connections;
- Respond to customer inquiries or complaints; and
- Adhere to all applicable policies, procedures, regulations and standards as prescribed by legislation or the company.
- Minimum of a post-secondary diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent which is a combination of relevant education and related experience normally acquired by working in an electrical engineering, electrical industrial or electrical utility workplace for a minimum of 5 years;
- Must hold and maintain a valid Ontario driver’s license;
- Sound working knowledge of engineering principles related to electrical or water distribution facilities;
- Ability to safely use a variety of electronic and mechanical equipment;
- Ability to work independently and to take initiative;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; and
- Ability to operate computerized systems.
