- Collect new hire paperwork to onboard new employees into ADP and the time clock.
- Process employee changes as requested including change of address, department and schedule changes, name change, tax changes, paycheck instructions, etc.
- Coordinate with temporary staffing agencies to make sure each department is properly staffed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files, employee records, and HR documentation.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, HIPAA, OSHA, and state/federal regulations.
- Respond to various employment and insurance verifications.
- Follow up with all unemployment compensation requests and submit appeals if necessary.
- Follow up with workers compensation claims including coordinating with legal team and providing information necessary for claim.
- Schedule appointments with Corporate Health for DOT exams and respirator fit tests.
- Review and approve invoicing for the various HR related vendors.
- Process payroll for seven companies through ADP on biweekly basis followed by running payroll reports, labor distribution reports, and providing payroll data to accounting for journal entries.
- Communicate with ADP for any time clock issues.
- Communicate with supervisors to collect any absences and run the daily absence report.
- Collect truck drivers’ trip envelopes for payroll.
- Review time cards for accuracy and verify supervisor approval for payroll.
- Input all time off requests (including vacation, sick time, bereavement, etc.) and maintain accurate remaining balances of each.
- Assist with yearly open enrollment for employee benefits.
- Coordinate with uniform vendor to ensure accurate uniform orders and invoicing.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience processing high-volume payroll.
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure, to multi-task, and to reprioritize tasks daily.
- Proficiency with ADP Payroll (or similar) and Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook).
