Summary/Objective Of Role
This role is critical in developing and undertaking robust financial analysis of the Nevada projects under AGA North America (AGANA). This role will lead the evaluation and analysis of major projects within AGA North America, ensuring that business cases, and project options are robust, verified challenged, and properly valued. This role will lead the work necessary to build and maintain a robust financial and valuation model, undertake multiple trade-offs and options analysis from Conceptual to Feasibility Study to Execution stages of a project life cycle. The analysis, evaluations and other deliverables of this role will ensure the necessary stakeholders within AGA are properly informed on North America project values under a range of economic environments and strategic options. Additionally, this role will lead & support the Nevada region financial planning needs to support regional and project budgets.
Role Accountabilities•Model in safety and environmental best practices in all activities.
•Work with Nevada Project, and finance stakeholders to ensure that projects are underpinned by sound financial fundamentals and that assumptions are properly scrutinized and challenged.
•Responsible for developing, analyzing, understanding, and interpreting complex models involving situations that vary widely across study options including, but not limited to, differences in the state and country of operation (albeit the role will predominately be supporting projects in Nevada, USA), the mining and processing methods used, and the specific issue to be addressed.
•Ability to communicate conclusions of complex financial outcomes to Senior Leadership.
•Design, develop, govern and deliver the processes that support the Group’s project investment decisions including standardization of valuation approach.
•Develop and Review project financials and provide investment recommendation support to the Nevada Projects team, VP Nevada Projects, to help inform Management Investment Committee.
•Partner with AGA’s financial functions, and future operations to ensure that project financials are robust and are underpinned by sound financial fundamentals.
•Execute the life-of-mine valuation process to ensure a dynamic enterprise valuation model.
•Collaborate with the AGANA leadership team and project functional managers to identify, compile and refine opportunities for financial evaluation and undertake financial model analysis as strategic options progress throughout study stages and project lifecycle.
•Identify LOM risks and opportunities in the AGANA plans.
•Evaluate district synergy as new studies advance in the Nevada projects and challenge of status quo assumptions.
•Identify recommendations from a shortlist of trade-off opportunities for further study in project or business cases.
•Assist VP, Nevada Projects with the integration of LOM Strategic Options plans and coordinate supporting information.
•Assist VP, Nevada Projects with coordination of summaries for project studies.
•Coordinate closely with Nevada Projects teams to compile and analyze financial models (including sensitivity analysis) as strategic planning inputs to inform the budgeting process parameters for the following year.
•Coordinate with Nevada Projects to lead the development of regional and project budgets. Work with finance to support these budget cycles.
•Lead budget processes with the internal teams to ensure budgets are kept up to date and reconciled.
•Work closely with the project controls teams.

•Develop cashflow models for trade-off analysis, sensitivity analysis and identification of the preferred alternative.

Required Education
•BS degree in relevant mineral industry area of study, economics, business, and finance.
•A post-graduate degree in Business, Finance and Project a plus.
Required General Knowledge & Experience
•Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years in project and business valuation with extensive knowledge of key concepts such as NPV, IRR, real/nominal, and other valuation techniques including sensitivity analysis against multiple parameters.
•Experience in mining, with gold mining experience in Nevada a plus.
•Strong understanding of mining industry cost drivers.
•An in-depth understanding of mining, processing, and ore transportation technologies used in the gold industry and specifically in Nevada for gold deposits.
•Solid understanding of functional accountabilities during stage gate studies.
•Advanced knowledge of personal computer related software including Microsoft Office, Project, document archival platforms, and SAP.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Excellent presentation skills.
Conditions Of Employment
This is a full-time exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday – Friday or as directed by the supervisor to include travel to and from the Beatty, Nevada site or other areas as needed. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. As per operational requirements.

COMPENSATION
: Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000
