We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team at a leading Metals service center in Middlesex, NJ. This role is ideal for a self-starter with strong relationship-building skills and a passion for sales. The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, maintaining existing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth within assigned territories.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets.
- Schedule and conduct in-person meetings with prospective clients to introduce products and services.
- Maintain regular contact and in-person visits with current customers to strengthen relationships and increase sales.
- Understand customer needs and recommend stainless steel products and service solutions.
- Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and pricing to customers.
- Coordinate with internal teams including customer service, operations, and purchasing to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, leads, and sales activity in CRM systems.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals.
- Previous outside sales experience, preferably in metals, industrial, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Comfortable traveling locally to client sites and prospect meetings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Knowledge of stainless steel products, processing, or service center operations.
- Existing network in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, or industrial sectors.
