Dispatch Team Leadready to make an impact, this is your opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the dispatch team for residential electrical, generator, HVAC, and plumbing services, managing workflows, performance, scheduling, and escalations.
- Assign daily duties and lunch schedules to ensure smooth operations.
- Track time-off requests and organize schedules for consistent coverage, including rotational weekend shifts and backup planning.
- Demonstrate excellence in dispatch board and call management—setting the standard for your team.
- Support hiring, training, and onboarding of new dispatch team members.
- Conduct daily audits to optimize efficiency and minimize errors, including checks on service routes, timeframes, and prioritization of high-value jobs.
- Ensure customers receive timely updates and clear communication throughout their service experience.
- Monitor same-day and multi-day capacity, creating move-up or reschedule lists as needed.
- Collaborate with other branches or service teams to maintain high service standards.
- Serve as a resource for dispatch and CSR teams, answering booking questions and monitoring communication channels.
- Track team performance on dispatch platforms to ensure consistent phone coverage and achievement of KPIs.
- Maintain regular meetings with trade managers (electrical, HVAC, plumbing) to align priorities.
- Prioritize same-day service with a goal of achieving a 60% or higher completion rate.
- Coordinate with warehouse and trade managers on material and equipment tracking.
- Assist in developing and implementing new workflows and organizational structures.
- Minimum of 1 year in dispatch, scheduling, or a related role—preferably in home services.
- Previous experience in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or generator service environments is a plus.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage schedules and priorities effectively.
- Proficient in dispatch software and systems, with a strong understanding of routing and scheduling best practices.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to handle escalations professionally.
- Analytical skills to run audits, identify errors, and implement process improvements.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure during high-volume periods.
- Willingness to work in-person Monday-Friday, with potential hybrid options.
