Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Steam Fitter / Pipefitter to join our team in a dynamic Oilfield Construction environment. The ideal candidate will have a previous Oilfield experience, with the ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems using various techniques and tools, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Candidates should possess excellent mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand tools, and experience in rigging and schematics interpretation. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, technical expertise, and adherence to safety protocols. Work is Local, No LOA provided.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine piping layouts and specifications.
- Install, assemble, and repair piping systems.
- Use hand tools, and other measuring devices to ensure precise fitting of pipes and components.
- Perform rigging operations to lift and position heavy pipes or equipment safely.
- Conduct maintenance on existing piping systems, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and according to specifications.
- Follow safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety regulations during daily operations.
- Valid Class 5 drivers license with clean abstract.
- Must be able to pass drug test
- Valid First Aid, H2S, CSO, Fall Protection & Confined Space would be considered an asset.
- Operate 1 ton picker truck with knuckle boom.
- Proven experience in pipefitting within manufacturing or construction settings.
- Experience and basic understanding in rigging and glycol heat tracing systems.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to pipe measurements and layout work.
- Familiarity with schematics for troubleshooting and installation purposes.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for piping systems is preferred.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Expected hours: No more than 84 per week
