Job Summary
This position is responsible for originating and evaluating new business opportunities for the Marketing and Trading department, under the direction of the Director - Marketing & Transportation.
Job Duties & Responsibilities•Develop, cultivate, and manage commercial relationships with key markets such as end users and potential project developers
•Identify, evaluate, and track new pipeline and demand projects to assist leadership in generating strategic development opportunities
•Assist Marketing team in getting setup with new counterparties to create value generating opportunities
•Serve as an ambassador between Expand and the Marketplace to gather necessary information, identify, analyze, and develop strategic opportunities, and enhance exposure to target markets
•Assist team by originating new leads/business relative to business unit’s strategic objectives
•Interact with internal and external clients and other key business partners daily
•Analyze pipelines/grid dynamics to identify trends and market shifts that may lead to value accretive opportunities
•Maintain notes on projects and contacts for general business unit consumption
•Performs other duties as assigned
Job Specific Skills
•Working knowledge of natural gas pipeline grid and tariffs, gas sales contracts and gas transportation agreements
•Existing relationships and knowledge of large buyers, sellers, and project developers
•Self-motivated and results oriented
•Strong economic evaluation/ analytical skills
•Ability to travel up to 60% of the time
•Concise reporting skills
•Ability to multi-task, while staying focused and aligned with team and corporate goals
•Able to build relationships and is excellent in communicating with customers
•Good presentation and technical writing skills
Education
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university - Business, Energy Management, Finance, Engineering or related fields
Experience
Minimum: 8 - 12 years related work experience in trading, origination, or business development
