Job Title: BANGL Ops (Measurement) Technician

Summary

Responsible for performing meter proving and measurement related maintenance activities (e.g. conducting or witnessing meter proving, verify and calibrate pressure and temperature transmitters, and maintain Electronic Flow Measurement (EFM) devices and chromatographs) to ensure fair and accurate measurement and reliable operation. Under direct supervision, be able to uses judgment and work independently to maintain safe, compliance, reliable and efficiency operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Volumetric or mass proving by witnessing or performing test

- Develop and maintain test schedule

- Maintains and operate Electronic Flow Measure (EFM) devices

- Collect Electronic Flow measurement data (EFM)

- Provides field support to the measurement reliability team

- Maintain, inspect and operate custody operational pipeline meters, LACT and ACT units in accordance to company policy, industry, and BLM standards (e.g., PD, Coriolis, turbine, etc)

- Installs/calibrates electronic transducers (Pressure, and Temperature)

- Calibrate, operate, and maintain product quality devices H2S, H2O, BS&W, colorimeter, etc.

- Maintain and operate gas chromatographs

- Pulls spot samples; gas and liquid

- Operate/maintain automatic liquid samplers

- Commission, connect and disconnect LACT or ACT units (if applicable)

- Understand and witness prover water-draws as required

- Perform functions independently in area of responsibility

Requirements

Education

- High School diploma or equivalent required.

- Technical degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.

Experience

- One to five years liquid measurement experience is preferred.

- Experience in Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) Measurement is preferred

Other

- Knowledge of Electronic Flow Measurement (EFM) devices

- Knowledge of Flowcal as well as Prove-It and Test-It Software

- Basic computer software e.g. MS Office; Word, Excel, Outlook

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Work independently, organized, and deadline oriented with flexibility to multitask

- A willingness to learn and grow with the position

- Must be able to work well in both independently and team environments

- Strong safety focus

- A valid driver's license is required.
