The Billing Analyst is directly responsible for various aspects of billing for the regulated and un-regulated crude assets. This role supports the Accounting Manager .
- Prepare volume allocation workbooks for various assets
- Review volumes within billing software, make sure they balance to physical measurement, and make corrections as needed
- Generate shipper charges per terms in applicable contract/tariff
- Create deficiency statements based on shipper’s monthly activity
- Review/update shipper inventory accounts based on monthly activity
- Send out shipper invoices and statements after management approval
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules
- Create monthly post-billing reports
- Maintain customer, contract, rate, and master data setup within the billing system and the invoicing portal
- Prepare data requests as needed for internal and external auditors
- Assist with system testing, implementation, and maintenance as needed
- Assure adherence to applicable customer and supplier contract terms
- Interact with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders with tact, courtesy, and professionalism
- Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and a consistently high level of performance
- Will work non-traditional hours as needed
- Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the public.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience actively involved in a relevant and related role.
- Must have a fundamental understanding of accounting and financial principles.
- Intermediate level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).
- Attention to detail is critical.
- Strong organizational skills are critical.
- Must be dependable with a stable work history.
- Consistent ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and/or holidays as needed.

- Required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
- The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including credit report for certain positions, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.
- The annual range for this position will be $60,000-$75,000/yr.
