Primary Function:
Provide support and assistance for the Welding and Manufacturing Engineering team.
- Evaluate and test new fabrication processes and technologies.
- Develop new or modify current welding methods and procedures.
- Verify weld machines are functioning and calibrated properly.
- Ensure welding documents meet customer requirements, applicable codes and are being followed on the shop floor. (WPS/PQR/WPQ)
- Teach welding and/or technical classes for internal cross training.
- Evaluate upcoming projects to determine the best method of manufacturing.
- Support for production automation.
- Manage 3d printers and router
- Assist with robot programming

Perusing bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering Technology or Manufacturing Engineering Technology
- Robot Programming experience
- SOLIDWORKS experience
- Bluco/Modular weld tooling experience
- Print reading & GD&T skills
- Welding ability (GMAW, GTAW, FCAW)
- Knowledge of welding codes AWS D1.1, D1.6, D1.9 and ASME Section IX
- Knowledge of PQR, WPS, WPQ
- Proficient organizational, analytical and communication skills
- Goal oriented
- Strong ability to independently assess and initiate work in line with established goals

Long hours (10 or more) are often scheduled, and job may require overtime.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, loud noises, tripping hazards, exposure to sparks, welding arc, and open flame. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, mild industrial chemicals, inclement weather, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
