We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Inside Sales/Project Manager to join our dynamic team. Responsibility and Authority: Includes but is not limited to:
- Handle daily calls from customers regarding requests for quotations and updates on the status of current jobs.
- Assure good long-term relationships with customers through practical communication skills, meeting customer needs, and timely follow-up with questions and concerns.
- Maintain effective communications with co-workers to keep them informed of upcoming jobs to enable scheduling.
- Complete inquiry sheets for quotation requests and meet with management to work up a quotation.
- Complete the quote form and send it to the customer. Create and maintain a quote folder until you receive information on acceptance/rejection.
- Sales order entry process.
- Obtain prints, customer information, and any other pertinent information about the job.
- Make up a shop Job Traveler for each job. The following information is to be placed into a plastic sleeve and is to stay with the job until completion:
- Complete shipping information. Call Freight Company to schedule a pickup time.
- Assure all required documentation is sent with the job.
- Completion of Job File.
- Support the company’s other sales engineers in the field as requested.
- Telemarketing as directed/requested.
- Attend mandatory meetings.
- Demonstrates knowledge of product and services provided by PME Babbitt Bearings.
- Demonstrates knowledge of Peachtree and ACT.
- Demonstrates practical communication skills with customers, co-workers, and persons in supervisory positions.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks while maintaining productivity and high-quality work.
- Demonstrates knowledge of required documentation and completes required documentation in a professional format. Demonstrates knowledge of facility policy and procedure.
- Engage with clients via phone, email, and virtual meetings to understand project needs and provide tailored solutions
- Prepare accurate construction estimates utilizing industry-standard software
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and contracts to facilitate clear communication across teams
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports, with precision and transparency
- Collaborate closely with teams on site to monitor progress, resolve issues
- Support project managers by tracking milestones, updating schedules, and managing resource allocation effectively
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with contracts, change management processes, and construction law fundamentals
- Effective communication skills for liaising between clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately to support project execution
