This position is responsible for the oversight of the Press Brakes, Turrets, Saws, Lasers, Shears and other machinery departments. The supervisor will be tasked with the scheduling of products and employees in these departments as well as other supervisor responsibilities.
- Organize, lead, and supervise department employees; solving problems before they develop
- Scheduling of products and employees
- Lead processes and workload under direction of Shop Manager
- Manage orders to be completed in full and on time
- Have efficient communication with Shop Manager on progress with work orders
- Work with the shop to achieve maximum efficiency with complete and on-time deliveries
- Provide assistance, coaching and guidance to employees to accomplish daily tasks and goals
- Enforce policies, procedures and ensure compliance with safety
- Identify issues and concerns in efficiency and suggest improvements
- Set expectations and hold employees accountable
- Evaluate employee performance, administer employee discipline as needed
- Review of production output according to specifications
- Oversee and coach employees to provide the tools needed to be successful
- Analyze and resolve work related problems or assist workers in solving work related problems
- Lead continuous improvement projects

- Lead/supervisor experience
- Sheet Metal Fabrication experience required
- Comfortable using a forklift (previous forklift experience preferred)
- Candidate must have a good work history

- Previous Union experience is a plus
- Technical Skills: Familiar with CNC controls and reading Blueprints
- Experience with robotics and other types of automation
- A minimum of 3 years Manufacturing Management experience (Sheet metal fabrication experience is a plus).
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.- Able to lift 50+ pounds
- Capable of standing for extended periods of time
- Must actively engage in safe working practices
- Must be able to tolerate hot working conditions and loud environment
- Ability to climb stairs and/or ladders to inspect equipment at variable heights
