Reporting to the Corporate Director - Client Services, the Client Services Associate (CSA) is responsible for selling and maintaining new and existing customers within the oil and gas, transportation, industrial plant, and mining & construction segments. The Client Services Associate also works closely with the Business Development and Account Manager teams to onboard new clients, provide support, and develop referrals for new business opportunities.
- Sell a full range of products and services to new and existing customers, including laboratory services, reliability consulting, and technical training.
- Qualify customer needs, prepare quotes, and follow up to close sales.
- Manage a book of smaller existing customers that may not have a dedicated Account Manager, focusing on the customer experience
- Onboard new customers using our laboratory services
- Identify new sales opportunities within existing customers
- Monitor customer revenue and program activity levels to identify potential growth opportunities and declining
- Acquire a full knowledge of Fluid Life’s product lines.
- Conduct periodic check ins with clients to ensure customer satisfaction with products and services.
- Utilize marketing materials about the Fluid Life product line to present to customers.
- Answer customer queries in a timely manner.
- Communicate with sales, managers, marketing, and other team members to ensure a high-quality product and all sales needs are met.
- Communicate the progress of monthly sales reports including, prospective customers, new sales, repeat sales and total revenue generated.
- Utilize the CRM to document activities and ensure the sales team is aware of changes within clients.
- Support Business Development and Account Manager teams as needed
- Support Accounting Department with customer setup and billing issues
- Various tasks and administrative duties as needed at the direction of the Corporate Director - Client Services- 3+ years of experience in an inside sales / account management role with increasing responsibilities.
- Science (Chemistry / Mechanical) degree or diploma preferred.
- Driven to achieve sales goals.
- Strong customer service focused approach.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills.
- Confident self-starter and comfortable making cold calls.
- Strong time management and project management skills.
- Proven knowledge of sales principles and experience with Microsoft Dynamics or marketing automation would be considered an asset.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of equipment maintenance, reliability and laboratory services would be considered an asset.
- Lead development experience would be considered an asset.
