Earth Right Mid-Atlantic, Lynchburg's premier solar and energy efficiency company, is currently seeking a highly motivated, organized, and experienced Solar Service and Sales Manager to take ownership of a unique and rapidly growing division within our company - servicing homeowners who previously purchased solar from other providers and now need assistance. This includes managing incoming service inquiries, upselling additional solutions like panel additions, batteries, or system upgrades, and ensuring customer satisfaction from the first call to final resolution.
This role requires someone who understands the nuances of solar service troubleshooting, can speak confidently to product upgrades, and can provide solutions-based sales with professionalism and care. You must be able to walk into our systems and contribute immediately, with minimal training.
Key Responsibilities:
•Customer Service and Case Management
•Respond promptly to incoming service requests from homeowners with orphaned systems
•Diagnose system issues or inefficiencies and coordinate appropriate service solutions
•Provide transparent and supportive communication throughout the service lifecycle
•Identify and present opportunities for panel additions, battery storage, and system enhancements
•Provide quotes, product education, and financing options
•Close add-on service and upgrade deals with a consultative approach
•Work with in-house service technicians, permitting teams, and install crews to schedule and manage work
•Maintain detailed customer records and job notes using CRM
•Track KPIs including lead response time, upsell conversion rates, customer satisfaction, and service resolution speed
•Provide weekly reports to leadership and suggest process improvements
Required Qualifications:
•2+ years experience in solar service (troubleshooting, inverter replacement, monitoring, etc)
•1+ years of solar sales or solar product sales experience
•Deep understanding of solar PV systems, energy storage (batteries), and system monitoring platforms
•Familiarity with major inverter brands (Enphase, SolarEdge, etc)
•Strong organizational and time management skills
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Proficiency in CRM platforms
•Self-starter who can work independently and manage multiple customer relationships at once
