We are seeking a motivated Inside Sales Assistant to support our growing sales team. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in building a career in industrial or technical sales. You’ll help manage incoming orders, perform outbound prospecting, and receive hands-on training to transition into a full Inside Sales role.
- Conduct at least 75 outbound calls per week to prospects and dormant customers
- Build rapport and identify customer needs
- Use Cyclone’s talking points to promote our ISO/API certifications and manufacturing capabilities
- Log all communications, outcomes, and follow-ups in the CRM system
- Collaborate with the Inside Sales team to qualify leads and close opportunities
- Review purchase orders for accuracy and specification compliance
- Enter orders into ERP systems (QuickBooks and Excel-based trackers)
- Send order confirmations and communicate delivery timelines
- Maintain accurate CRM and customer records
- Coordinate with the warehouse to ensure smooth order fulfillment
- Receive structured training in:
- Part numbers and product specs
- Manufacturing processes and technical details
- CRM and order entry tools
- Quoting, pricing, and sales qualification techniques
- Timeline for development:
- Months 1–3: Focus on outbound calls, order entry, and basic training
- Months 4–6: Begin quoting and managing small accounts
- Month 6+: Transition into a full Inside Sales role with account ownership- Responding to email inquiries and quote requests
- Making outbound calls and logging follow-ups
- Entering and reviewing orders for accuracy
- Coordinating documents and updates with the warehouse
- Updating CRM and planning next-day outreach
- Strong communication and phone skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational habits
- Comfortable working with data entry and CRM tools
- Willingness to learn and grow within a technical sales role
- Previous experience in sales support, order entry, or customer service is a plus
- QuickBooks, Excel, or CRM experience is a bonus
