Reporting to Operations Manager, the Project Coordinator is responsible for coordination activities for a variety of Field Engineering and Geophysics projects at multiVIEW. The Coordinator is a detailed and critical thinking individual that can work with multiple stakeholders under tight timelines in a customer service role.
- Plan and organize project schedules, including the assignment of people, equipment, subcontractors and permitting.
- Working closely with the Project Engineer, assume responsibility for accurate, timely and relevant project reporting to stakeholders.
- Review project specifications, estimate details and costing to ensure excellence in project delivery.
- Set up and participate in customer project kick-off meetings.
- Visit project and customer sites as necessary to ensure scope and details are captured.
- Prepare and distribute daily work schedules. Create schedules that result in optimal utilization of people, equipment and fleet resources.
- Proactively manage scheduling issues and conflicts as they arise internally and with clients.
- Provide post project analysis for timelines, customer service and budget adherence.
- Manage permitting process.
- General office administrative tasks as required for this position.
- Other duties as assigned.
- College diploma or equivalent experience.
- 2 years’ experience as a project lead preferred.
- Experience in Civil Engineering or Construction Design an asset.
- Strong computer skills required for use of application software.
- Organized and systematic with good attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, adaptable and good in teams.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Well organized and calm under pressure.
- The ability to build business relationships, with clients and across the business.
- Discrete and able to maintain confidentiality.
