About This Job

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Center Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our data center infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This role requires a strong understanding of computer hardware, cabling, and networking equipment, as well as excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with internal teams and external clients.

Duties

•

Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and networking equipment within the data center.

•

Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting on servers, routers, and switches.

•

Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and power tools for installation and maintenance tasks.

•

Manage cabling installations including Cat5 and Cat6 cables to ensure proper connectivity.

•

Support VoIP systems and assist with telecommunication needs.

•

Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

•

Document all maintenance activities and updates in the system for tracking purposes.

•

Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Experience

•

Proven experience working with computer hardware, networking equipment, and cabling systems.

•

Experience in a data center environment or similar technical support role is advantageous.

•

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

•

Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both technical staff and non-technical users.
