- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of related work experience, which includes 4 years as a licensed engineer.
- Any equivalent combination of certifications, education, or experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities for the position.
- Professional Engineer licensed in the State of Colorado.
- Must be able to possess and maintain a valid Class ‘R’ Colorado driver’s license and have a satisfactory driving record at time of hire.
A subject matter expert responsible for performing operations and maintenance engineering in the area of water distribution. Leads a technical team that has responsibility for project planning and scheduling. The project team deliverables support organizational goals related to asset management.
This position has formal supervisory responsibilities over other employees.
- Serve as the key technical staff specialist for the Section in the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles, and processes related to distribution system operations and maintenance.
- Represent the interests of the Water Distribution Section in Denver Water’s Plan Review Process.
- Lead and coordinate asset management support and planning activities across the Section. Refine the asset management strategy and evaluate current status, identify gaps and execute improvements to fully implement strategy.
- Lead efforts to organize, clean, analyze, and present operating, maintenance and asset management data.
- Manage staff and activities related to the Section’s centralized work planning and scheduling.
- Act as primary liaison with staff in the Engineering Division related to project design, review, construction, commissioning and startup.
- Perform contract administration duties as assigned.
- Assign and direct work of professional and technical personnel within an assigned unit and provide technical guidance and quality control checks.
- Coordinate cross-divisional and cross-sectional activities to ensure timely completion of projects and daily tasks.
- Perform related work as required.
