We are seeking an experienced and driven
Regulatory Coordinatorto join our team and play a role in ensuring regulatory compliance of operations with our thermal SAGD facility.
- Oversee and coordinate environmental programs outlined within the EPEA approval.
- Manage third party environmental consultants for successful completion of all regulatory requirements while continually evaluating cost effectiveness and performance.
- Monitor compliance with approval conditions and proactively address outstanding items.
- Review and provide feedback for all consultant submissions and reports.
- Develop relationships and liaise with regulatory agencies.
- Plan, coordinate and direct remediation and reclamation activities within closure spend program, ensuring alignment with long-term land use objectives.
- Proficiency using SharePoint, OneStop, DDS, ETS
- Facilitate the submission of accurate and timely applications, amendments, and renewals under EPEA.
- Support field personnel and operations, including training, reporting requirements and internal audits, with travel to site as required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory and environmental management, or related roles in the oil sands sector.
- Strong knowledge of Alberta’s regulatory requirements, including EPA and AER rules, regulations, and directives.
- Ability to work independently and guide management on regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Working knowledge of Alberta and Federal air regulations and submission requirements.
- Undergraduate degree from accredited Canadian Institution
- Preference for education in Environment, Engineering or Business. Consideration will be given in other areas where individuals show talent, drive and trust worthiness.
