This position is responsible for direction and oversight of power plant electrical and instrumentation maintenance, including direct supervision of maintenance leaders/chiefs. Responsibilities: Core Responsibilities* Supervises the work of electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities and associated personnel, including technical direction, scheduling, job assignments, performance appraisals, and employee development.
Qualifications: Education/Experience/Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and minimum five year’s job-related experience is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year for year basis. Valid driver’s license required. Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of established safety procedures and power plant systems/equipment. Thorough understanding of controls/instrument and electrical systems/equipment. Effective interpersonal and leadership skills. Supervisory experience. Attendance
Regular attendance is essential for satisfactory performance.
Work Conditions
Power plant work environment includes exposures to temperature extremes (hot, cold) associated with maintenance of power plant equipment and systems. Work includes heights (ladders, platforms, scaffolds, etc.), confined spaces, and proximity to high-voltages. Dust and debris associated with fuels and fuel by-products. Respirator use required.
Position is subject to work outside of normal 8 hour schedule during emergency and/or outage situations. Physical Effort
