Position available for responsible person to perform highly responsible advanced engineering and management skills in the design, construction, operations and maintenance of the following systems: electrical substations and their control systems; emergency and peaking generators and their controls; mobile and operational data communication networks; supervisory, control and data acquisition systems (SCADA) ; Overall responsibility for the management, leadership and direction of the department’s substation, controls and communications group which includes installation, maintenance, and repair of substation facilities, communication facilities, generation facilities, and building electrical and control facilities, along with maintenance and repair of distribution equipment; performs related work as required.
Four-year degree in a discipline equivalent to acquiring an advanced certification such as a Professional Engineer.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in the State of North Carolina or Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification preferred.
Employment is contingent upon passing a physical examination including a drug/alcohol screening and a comprehensive background check.
