PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Service and repair of customer property items including, but not limited to, centrifugal pumps and frac hose as supported by the Mission Completion Products.
•Perform service and repair primarily at NOV locations; and at customer locations as required.
•Perform all duties in accordance with the QA procedures and departmental work instructions.
•Disassemble equipment to remove parts and determine required repairs.
•Examine all parts for general corrosion, defects, breakage or excessive wear and whenever looking at specified reported issues on any unit.
•Diagnose cause of equipment malfunction thru observations and testing based on related schematics and assembly drawings, and work instructions or procedures.
•Request parts as required and install according to instructions, drawings, or procedures
•Ensure all work performed is in a quality minded, tidy & accurate manner, prepare all surfaces and components as necessary to ensure no damage occurs during assembly and testing.
•Test run repaired equipment to ensure it works to full specification.
•Lead new product field trails on location as the PP&C point of contact with the customer.
•Troubleshoot issues with new equipment and communicate field performance feedback to engineering teams that can used for design changes.
•Identify the barriers of adoption to new MCP technology from a customer's perspective, particularly identifying and communicating the perspectives from a customer's field personnel.
•Travel to locations on short notice to troubleshoot new equipment or to be the NOV point of contact to a customer currently accruing NPT.
•Actively participate in training as identified by the Manager.
•Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
•Utilize safe work habits.
•Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
•Become very familiar with Mission Completion Products product lines.
•Become very familiar with Mission Completion Products service procedures and operational processes.
•Become very familiar with all Mission Completion Products engineering groups, product line managers, and new product development managers.
•Become familiar with all applicable NOV software.
•Become familiar with all applicable NOV software.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
•High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
•2 or more years of relevant work experience - Previous oilfield experience preferred.
•Experience using hand tools, torque wrenches, and power drills required.
•Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
•Understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic applications, pressure containing equipment, and hydrostatic pressure testing equipment and processes highly desired.
•Computer skills – Must be familiar with Microsoft office suite and have ability to learn ERP and Service Software.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
•Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
•Must be able to pass a 3-year driving history background check.
•Must possess & maintain a valid Driver’s License.
•Must provide transportation from home to the office. Transportation to customer’s location will be provided.
•Overtime may be required during weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
•Willing & able to travel up to 25% of the time to other NOV and/or customer locations as required to support our service offering.
•Must obtain NOV corporate credit card and maintain an active status per NOV credit card policy.
•Operation of test pumps/equipment.
•Operation of cranes and forklifts, etc. as required.
•Ability to read and apply Assembly Drawings/Procedures.
•Do not undertake any task or job for which authorization and/or training has not been given.
•Ensure that all goods being produced are to a high standard of quality and in accordance with the relevant QA procedures and/or departmental works instructions.
•Perform all duties in a safe manner to prevent injury to yourself, your co-workers, or company assets/property.
•Learn and comply with all company health, safety, and environmental policies noting all that specifically apply to your work area and job function.
•Become proficient in the use of all equipment, tools, and techniques used in the Mission service spectrum as specific to the application being performed.
