Insight, LLC is an established and growing company that provides a comprehensive range of utility services to support commercial firms. We are looking for a construction foreman with underground utility locating experience to coordinate and supervise their team of crew members. The foreman will create and maintain construction schedules, train staff and oversee the completion of several projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have underground utility locating experience, supervisory and or management experience, and will be extremely organized with excellent time management, leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Summary
As a construction foreman, you will play an essential role in supporting underground utility locating projects. This position is critical to ensuring the successful execution of various infrastructure developments in the Washington Metro area.
Objectives of this role
•Create and maintain a construction schedule with project goals in mind
•Train, supervise, and assign tasks to crew members
•Consult regularly with the company project manager, executive leadership, clients, and other stakeholders
•Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are followed on construction sites
•Ensure all construction projects stay on schedule, remain within budget, and are completed successfully
•Calculate productivity reports and report project status to supervisors
Responsibilities
•Read project plans, drawings, specifications, and blueprints to guide construction efforts
•Create and manage schedules and monitor the attendance of the crew
•Assist in the setup and maintenance of construction sites, and supervise the use of machinery and equipment to ensure smooth operations
•Delegate responsibilities and tasks to crew members according to priorities and plans
•Supervise on-site activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
•Support project scheduling and coordination among team members to meet deadlines
•Collaborate with project managers to provide updates on progress and challenges
Qualifications
•Advanced knowledge of underground utility locating services and underground utility locating equipment is required
•Strong understanding of project scheduling principles and practices
•Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics for effective project execution
•Familiarity with budgeting processes related to construction projects is a plus
•Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
