Instrument Engineer
Pasadena, TX (Embedded in-plant)
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Instrument Engineer performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:
•Perform Sizing and Selection of Instrumentation based on client approved vendor list, process data, and knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
•Develop instrument specification datasheets.
•Maintain interaction with vendors of instrumentation during engineering and procurement process.
•Instrument startup and troubleshooting experience a plus.
•Participate in on-site visits as needed.
•Develop and perform checks of Instrument Indexes based on Piping and Instrument Diagrams.
Requirements
The Instrument Engineer requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:
•10+ years of instrumentation experience including sizing and selection.
•Experience with ISA datasheets.
•Experience as lead/primary on 5+ instrumentation projects in Oil and Gas/ Chemical facilities.
•Previous experience working in-plant as Instrument Engineer is a plus.
•Experience with SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) is a plus.
Working conditions are as follows:
Standard Hours: Monday—Friday 8:00 am to 4:00pm
Overtime: Occasionally
Range: Permanent
Travel: Minimal (Up to 10%)
