Utility Incinerator Operator (Temporary) – WNS – Roads & Pads Group
The Utility Incinerator Operator will work under the direct supervision of experienced Client Incinerator Operators to learn the skills and knowledge required for the role. This position will be responsible for Learning Process Control, Maintenance Tasks, Record Keeping, and being aligned with all Safety and Compliance procedures.

· Managing fieldwide waste segregation and dumpster inventory; coordinating waste delivery to its final location(s)
· Loading/Unloading and operating waste incinerators in a safe, economic, and environmentally sound manner.
· Assist with the operation of incinerator furnaces by releasing refuse into the incinerator, igniting burners, and adjusting blowers and dampers to regulate airflow and temperature.
· Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning equipment parts, replacing refractory linings, and helping with repairs.
· Keep detailed logs and records of the incineration process, including meter and gauge readings.
· Provide Operations support for preventative and corrective maintenance activity, including applying energy isolation or Lock-Out, Tag-Out to ensure safe execution of work.
· Understand and follow safety protocols, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), and learning to handle hazardous materials safely.
· Understanding and applying safety and environmental standards and actively ensuring compliance in area of responsibility.
· Able to work independently and effectively as a team member.
· Other duties will be assigned to this position as required.
· Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
· Must be authorized to work in the United States.
· A High School Diploma or GED is required.
· A valid (U.S issued) Driver’s License is required.
· A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.
· The ability to work 80.5 hours a week on a 2x2 rotation is required.
· The ability or willingness (with or without reasonable accommodation) to safely perform physical labor including climbing ladders/stairs, operating valves and equipment, walking, standing, stooping, sitting, and carrying material periodically throughout a 12-hour shift is required.
· At least five (5) years of relevant work experience on the North Slope is required.
· Previous Western North Slope – Alpine (WNS – Alpine) experience is preferred.

While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms.
Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet are free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc.
Each facility will have their own accommodations and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.
