The Clean Drift and Tally Crew Hand will be responsible for supporting a team in cleaning, drifting, and tallying casing (pipe) that will be used for installation by the drilling rig. The role ensures that the casing is free from debris, defects, and damage, and that all pipe inventory is accurately tracked and recorded. This position requires attention to detail, strong physical stamina, and adherence to strict safety protocols.
+ Assist in the cleaning of casing pipes to ensure they are free from debris, mud, and contaminants before being installed. + Perform the "drifting" process, which involves pushing a drift tool through the casing to verify that the internal diameter is free from obstruction and meets operational standards. + Ensure that the casing is inspected for damage, defects, and wear during the cleaning and drifting process.
+ Follow all company and industry safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment. + Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
+ Assist with routine maintenance and cleaning of tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure they are in good working condition. + Help to ensure that the site remains organized, clean, and safe from unnecessary hazards during operations.
+ Familiarity with drifting, casing cleaning techniques preferred.
+ Strong attention to detail, especially when tracking materials and verifying equipment. + Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently within a team environment. + Basic mechanical skills are a plus for maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
+ Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds). + Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, kneeling, and walking for long periods. + Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions (extreme heat, cold, rain, etc.)
