About the Role
This individual will serve as the face of Maverick Power to external potential candidates and support the efforts of Maverick Power’s recruiting strategy. You will assist the organization’s efforts to identify, attract and hire top talent which includes all non-exempt and exempt positions. You will be the main point of contact for establishing and managing relationships with career centers, universities, technical colleges, and 3rd party contractors.
Duties & Key Responsibilities
•In charge of conducting the initial screening of applicants and job applications
•Plays a key role in managing recruiting relationships with external vendors, the community, universities, and colleges. Attends job fairs and recruitment events
•Responsible for sourcing qualified candidates through social media, recruiting agencies, employee referrals, universities, etc.
•Screen resumes and process job applications; coordinate, schedule, and conduct interviews, perform background checks, and prepare employment offers, ensuring compliance with timelines and relevant policies and procedures
•Negotiate employment contracts and extend offers to candidates
•Prepare recruitment material and conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools and methods.
•Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes for each role
•Oversee and document communication with candidates and hiring managers throughout the hiring process. Manage the internal offer approval process and negotiate and present final offers to candidates
•Manage and advertise all jobs while maintaining our job description database ensuring all postings are up to date
•Promote Maverick Power’s core values, mission, and reputation
What You Bring [Qualifications]
•Experience: 0-2 years of Recruiting experience
•Manufacturing environment preferred
•Education: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent years of experience in Human Resources or related field
•Our ideal candidate is a highly organized professional with an excellent understanding of full cycle recruiting (initial candidate contact to onboarding)
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Directly supervises and leads 2 employees within the HR department
•Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
•Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

Physical Requirements
•Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
•Must be able to lift up to twenty-five pounds at times.
Work Environment
May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
