Job Description:
The Bill of Materials Specialist oversees the creation, maintenance, and posting of accurate BOMs to support production and supply chain operations. This role collaborates with the Manufacturing Planner and other internal teams to address and resolve BOM deficiencies, ensuring alignment with technical specifications. The BOM Specialist audits BOMs for completeness, manages ERP data, and provides critical support to ensure smooth operations across departments.
Essential Duties:
•Create, manage, and update accurate BOMs for products in ERP systems.
•Audit and maintain data accuracy in BOMs, addressing discrepancies and ensuring compliance with standards.
•Generate BOM-related reports to support production planning, cost analysis, and efficiency improvements.
•Analyze BOM data to identify cost-saving opportunities and streamline production processes.
•Ensure BOMs adhere to industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
•Provide training and support for BOM processes and system usage to internal teams.
•Act as the primary point of contact for BOM-related inquiries and issue resolution.
•Identify and implement continuous improvements to enhance BOM management and operational efficiency.

•Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.

•Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
•Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel knowledge.
•Familiarity with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is a plus.
