- Conduct OGI (Optical Gas Imaging) surveys using infrared FLIR cameras to detect gas leaks
- Perform AVO (Audio, Visual, Olfactory) surveys to verify proper equipment operation
- Execute inspections with an understanding of normal operating conditions and strong attention to detail
- Utilize digital applications and tools for planning, tracking, and documenting work
- Take ownership of assigned workload and complete tasks within established timelines
- Support safe and environmentally compliant operation of compressors, gas-driven generators, and vapor recovery units (VRUs)
- Assist with inspections to ensure shutdown systems and safety devices are functional
- Support installation, startup, and optimization of emissions control equipment
- Assist with new site construction, layout, and piping activities
- Help ensure all sites meet or exceed applicable environmental laws and regulations
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improved efficiency
- Assist operations engineers with equipment changes and optimization efforts
- Track and document performance metrics such as runtime, availability, fuel usage, throughput, and environmental compliance
- Support lease operators and production foremen with emissions-related issues
- Review vendor invoices for accuracy related to rates and performance metrics
- Monitor VRU operation and controls to prevent oxygen entry
- Document and report incidents or abnormal operations to supervision
- Entry-level position: 1–3 years of relevant experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic understanding of oil & gas production equipment preferred
- Willingness to work in field environments and varying weather conditions
- Ability to follow safety procedures and environmental compliance standards
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn field data collection applications
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required
