Overview:

The Yard Helper is responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment while adhering to safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in oil and gas field maintenance per Foreman instructions.

- Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance on equipment.

- Conduct major and minor equipment repairs and report spills and leaks.

- Perform general housekeeping duties.

- Understand pipe sizing and accurately count pipe.

- Safely operate a forklift.

- Follow, plan, and schedule daily activities as directed by the Supervisor.

- Load and unload service trucks and trash bins safely.

- Apply working knowledge of oil & gas repair policies and safe work practices.

- Troubleshoot and repair basic production equipment.

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of Oil & Gas Maintenance experience required.

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

- Working knowledge of oil & gas maintenance processes.

- Oil and gas production operations experience preferred (training available for acceptable candidates).

- Ability to work overtime, holidays, and be available for call-outs as required.

- Valid driver’s license with a clear driving record.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

- Understanding of environmental and safe work practices.

- Ability to lift 50-100 lbs occasionally, 25-50 lbs frequently, and 10-20 lbs constantly.

- Ability to work at heights above six feet and balance on uneven surfaces.

- Physical capability for stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, standing, and reaching.

- Must use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
