GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the production of turned parts, fasteners and miscellaneous hardware. Operates ACME, B&S, Davenport or Wickman machine. Will be trained on the job. Must be a driven and a mechanically hands-on individual.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES ARE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

- Load/unload machines and materials

- Perform Mid-level machine setups with some assistants

- Operate multiple machines under supervision

- Clean and deburr parts as required

- Perform inspections using calipers, micrometers and other inspection equipment

- Follow layout sheets, routers, and production instructions

- Maintain machine cleanliness and fluid levels

- Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks

- Track part counts and scrap.

- Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

- Use of measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)

- Understanding of tooling, and machine principles

- Basic troubleshooting

- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- Willingness to work independently or with minimal supervision

- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a shop environment

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- Minimum 1-2 years of operator experience

- Prior machine experience preferred

Experience:
