Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including ductwork, structural steel, and custom fabrications, utilizing a variety of tools and techniques to meet project specifications.

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements

- Perform Stick, MIG and TIG welding on various metals, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards

- Operate plasma cutters and other fabrication equipment to cut, bend, and shape metal components

- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and machining equipment for assembly and finishing tasks

- Rigging and handling heavy materials using cranes or forklifts safely and efficiently

- Measure materials accurately with calipers and basic math skills to ensure precise fabrication

- Assemble components according to schematics and specifications, including ductwork and structural elements

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and performing routine equipment maintenance

Qualifications

- Proven experience in welding (MIG and TIG) within a manufacturing or construction environment

- Mechanical knowledge of machinery such as plasma cutters, press brakes, cranes, forklifts, and hand tools

- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately

- Familiarity with rigging, machining, assembly processes, and use of calipers for measurements

- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks

- Knowledge of welding safety standards and procedures

- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in fabrication quality

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
