- 1-year minimum welding experience
- 1-year minimum fitting experience
- 1-year minimum reading blueprints to produce welded assemblies.
- Must be able to lift material up to 40 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must have ability to properly use and care for assigned tools and equipment.
- Must be able to adhere to standards, do a quality job in a safe manner, within allotted time.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment technical assessment.
- Every employee will be an in-process inspector.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have high-school diploma or GED or equivalent.
- Must be willing to wear personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs and safety shoes.
- Be willing to take a drug test & submit to a background check as part of the selection process.
- Be willing to submit to random drug tests

- Must be willing to work as necessary to meet requirements of the position, including the ability to work occasional weekends and scheduled overtime.
- Follows all Worth Steel Fabrication safety programs and requirements.
- Adheres to production schedule.
- Reads, assembles, and welds from blueprints.
- Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
- Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage.
- Uses .045 - .052 welding wire using 90/10 gas.
- Grinds and wire wheels product to clean smooth surfaces for painting.
- Inspects final products to print for quality assurance.
- Verifies main mark or tags all final products for identification.
- Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
- Operates overhead and jib style crane.
- Operates a forklift.
- Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Promote climate of cooperation, leading by example mentoring others in safety, quality, environmental, lean and high-performance work team philosophies.
- Work with all facility employees on improving manufacturing processes, fabrication and implement necessary fixtures and tooling for manufacturing improvements.
- Verify features and markings of finished parts.
- Paint applications including but not limited to primer paint application, seal, and touch up work as necessary.
- Material transport including the use of but not limited to, radio-controlled cranes, forklifts and tuggers.
- All team members will perform multiple tasks in any combination and concentration of the above-mentioned areas and will rotate through all or most of the processes rather than being assigned to a specific task.
- All team members must be able to work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling numerous components and other duties as assigned.
