Now Hiring: Part-Time Weekend Site Safety / Permit Writer (Seabrook / Clear Lake, TX)
Saturday + Sunday | 18–20 hours/weekend | Contractor-friendly | Extra-income role (can grow into more)
We’re hiring an experienced weekend-only Site Safety professional
to support active field operations in the
Seabrook / Clear Lakearea. This role is ideal for someone who wants steady weekend work and knows how to run permits and jobsite safety the right way.
No exceptions on qualifications.

- Part-time, weekends only
- Saturday and Sunday
- 18–20 hours each weekend
- Potential opportunity to expand into additional hours or a larger role over time- 10+ years
experience in the
Health & Safety (HSE / EHS)
field (industrial environment)
- 5+ yearsof hands-on experience
writing and managing permits
, including:
- Confined Space Entry
- Hot Work
- Permit to Work (PTW)
- Excavation / Trenching
- Current TWIC card
(must be active and valid)
- Strong working knowledge of:
- LOTO / Energy Isolation
- JSA / JHA
development and field execution
- Gas testing / atmospheric monitoring
coordination (as applicable)
- Contractor oversight and field-level coaching
- Must be able to pass
pre-screening requirements
(site/client requirements may include background, drug screen, fit-for-duty, etc.)
- Safety Council / Safety Essentials
required

You will be the on-site safety presence for weekend work and the go-to person for safe execution and permit compliance.
- Write, issue, and close permits (Confined Space, Hot Work, PTW, Excavation/Trenching)
- Verify controls are in place before work begins:
- Isolation/LOTO coordination, barricading, signage, fire watch, ventilation, rescue plan alignment, etc.
- Maintain permit boards and supporting documentation (JSAs, gas test logs, entrant/attendant logs, trench documentation, etc.)
- Perform field walkdowns to confirm work matches the permit scope and controls
- Conduct pre-job briefings and tailgate meetings
- Review and approve JSAs/JHAs and task-level hazard controls
- Observe work practices, coach crews, and stop unsafe work when needed
- Monitor simultaneous operations and changing conditions (weather, line breaks, equipment changes, congestion)
- Perform routine jobsite safety inspections and document findings
- Report near-misses, incidents, and corrective actions with clear write-ups
- Track and follow up on corrective actions through completion
- Provide end-of-shift / end-of-weekend summary reports to management
- Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and client representatives
- Support planning for upcoming weekend scopes and ensure permit readiness
- This role includes
required upfront training/orientation
and a short ramp-up period to align with site expectations, permit flow, and reporting format.

- High attention to detail with documentation and permit accuracy
- Calm, professional, and firm when enforcing requirements
- Experienced in industrial environments where permit compliance matters
