Universal Metrics, LLC is a growing metal fabrication company that features job-shop creativity combined with small-large quantity manufacturing capabilities. UMI’s corporate facility is located in Menomonee Falls, with the mobility division located in New Berlin, WI. We work closely with our customers to provide high quality made in the USA pre-fabricated parts and products designed to withstand the rigors of what will be thrown at them.

This position is located that the New Berlin warehouse and requires familiarity with common hand and power tools due to the inventory repair and crating aspects. It is a physical position where lifting 25-75lbs occurs regularly.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include but are not limited to:

- Loading and unloading of trucks.

- Complete receiving log, strip units, determine maintenance and repair needs, replace worn parts as necessary.

- Palletize assembly units according to specifications, determine appearance needs for assembly units, assemble adaptors to orders, enter and update complete unit records in data files.

- Requisition materials at prescribed order points and take inventories as directed under general supervision.

- Pack items in standard boxes or crates for shipments to conform to specifications and requirements.

- Cut and assemble crates, boxes, and skids. Secure items to prevent shifts and damage.

- Select packaged stock or parts from inventory in accordance with packing order instructions.

- At times this job will require lifting 50 lbs. and/or using a jib crane to move assembled units.

- Stage completed orders in the out bound area.

- Process all items delivered and received as necessary.

- Attach shipping and handling instructions.

- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
