We are seeking a highly experienced Assistant Storekeeper with over 10 years of progressive experience in warehouse, materials management, and supply chain operations. This senior-level role provides strategic leadership, oversees complex materials support operations, and drives innovation to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer service. The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert while mentoring junior staff and supporting long-term operational planning.
- Lead and manage materials support teams, ensuring operational excellence and high performance.
- Set the strategic direction for materials support operations aligned with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with senior management on long-term planning, budgeting, and capital investments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and service delivery.
- Mentor, coach, and provide professional development guidance to junior staff and support specialists.
- Oversee receiving, storing, issuing, and recording of materials and supplies.
- Ensure accurate inventory control, stock reconciliation, and compliance with company procedures.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and service levels.
- Implement innovative solutions to improve materials handling, storage optimization, and workflow processes.
- Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in materials support processes, warehouse technologies, and logistics systems.
- Evaluate and implement emerging materials technologies and best practices.
- Support research and development initiatives related to materials efficiency and supply chain innovation.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, workshops, and professional forums.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical warehouse tasks as required.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in warehouse operations, materials management, or supply chain roles.- Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex projects.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse management software.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze operational data and develop strategic improvement plans.
- Leadership and Management Certifications.
- Advanced Supply Chain Management or Logistics Certifications.
- Certified Forklift Operator (Required).
