JOB SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for accurate and timely inventory control to include physically receiving, storing, handling, issuing, picking up and distributing supplies to support internal customers. This position participates in researching and resolving problems and discrepancies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Issues, receives, verifies and transfers material using internal control procedures.

- Compiles and documents material movements in the inventory management system.

- Conducts cycle counts and applies principles of inventory control in researching discrepancies and correcting errors.

- Monitors and recommends stocking levels within the warehouse and outside bays.

- Communicates with customers, co-workers, management, and vendors, verbally and in writing.

- Prepares warehouse and participates in annual inventories.

- Operate vehicles to transport raw materials, tools, or equipment to various destinations safely and efficiently.

- Maintains a safe and orderly work environment by adhering to the GVSUD Safety Policies.

- Cleanliness of warehouse, dock and bays.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
