We’re seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead our operational teams through the next stage of growth. This role bridges execution and strategy; ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and on brand. You’ll oversee project delivery, scheduling, and client success while building capacity through coaching, process improvement, and collaboration with business development.
- Operational Leadership – Drive day-to-day field and office operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and accountability across all service lines.
- Project Delivery – Oversee project execution to meet timelines, budgets, and client expectations; proactively identify risks and corrective actions.
- Scheduling & Resource Allocation – Manage people and equipment scheduling to optimize utilization, profitability, and balance workloads.
- Team Coaching & Development – Mentor field leads, project managers, and technical specialists to foster ownership, accountability, and growth.
- Client Success – Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, follow up on deliverables, and identify new opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with Business Development, Marketing, and Sales to align project execution with Blue Chip’s brand promise and growth objectives.
- Process Optimization – Lead implementation processes, systems, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality assurance controls.
- KPI & Reporting Oversight – Monitor operational metrics (billable utilization, project margins, schedule adherence, and client feedback) and report performance to ownership.
- Strategic Growth Support – Contribute to strategic planning, expansion initiatives, and service diversification.
- Safety & Compliance – Uphold Blue Chip’s health, safety, and environmental standards in all operations.- 10+ years of progressive leadership in operations or project management, preferably within oil & gas measurement, regulatory, or environmental services.
- Proven success managing field-to-office operations and delivering multi-project portfolios.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (AER Directive 017/060/076, TIER/OBPS, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to coach teams and build high-performance cultures.
- Excellent communication, organization, and client-relationship skills.
- Financial acumen; experience tracking P&L, budgets, and KPIs.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort in a fast-moving, scaling company.
