Temporary Vac Truck Driver – Water Meter Project (Morris, IL Area)

Professional Meters, Inc. (PMI) is seeking a Vac Truck Driver for a temporary field position supporting our upcoming water meter installation project.

Position Overview:

The Vac Truck Driver will be responsible for pumping out water meter pits ahead of our installation crews to ensure safe and efficient access for meter replacements. This position plays a key role in keeping our project running smoothly and on schedule.

Position Details:

- Type: Temporary (Project-Based)

- Hours: 30–40 hours per week

- Pay: $25/hour

- Location: Morris, IL area (local travel as needed)

- Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

- Operate vacuum truck to pump out water meter pits before installation teams arrive

- Follow daily route schedules and coordinate with Field Managers

- Maintain equipment cleanliness and report maintenance needs

- Comply with all safety and environmental standards

- Perform light field support tasks as needed

Requirements:

- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)

- Ability to safely operate a vac truck

- Reliable transportation to and from job sites

- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
