TAE Power Solutions (TPS) is the electrification spin-off from TAE Technologies, a leader in nuclear fusion technology. The company is leveraging unique power management technology originally developed for nuclear fusion and applying it in adjacent industries including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and DC Fast Charging for electric vehicles.
The Vice President, Operations is the executive owner of the full operational lifecycle of our Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across all market segments— principally including data centers, commercial & industrial (C&I), utility-scale scale.
This role leads TPS in defining and executing the global operations strategy, ensuring seamless execution and end-to-end operational readiness. A broad remit that spans Contract Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Safety & EHS, and Customer Warranty with direct accountability for performance across all operations.
- Executive ownership of U.S. based BESS operations from sourcing through
manufacturing, delivery, commissioning, and lifecycle support.
- Define and execute the operations footprint, including manufacturing, supply
chain, logistics, and field operations
- Establish operational roadmaps for batteries, PCS, BOS, and containerized
- Serve as the executive decision-maker for operational matters impacting
product architecture, margins, deployment schedules, and scalability.
- Drive operational readiness for product launch, technology transitions, and
market expansion.
- Lead operations across manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, quality, safety,
and field deployment.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Commercial teams to ensure
manufacturability, scalability, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery.
- Establish and govern operational KPIs including throughput, yield, cost,
safety, delivery performance, and field reliability.
- Own manufacturing strategy for containerized BESS systems and critical
- Oversee domestic manufacturing partners, including contract manufacturers
and OEM/ODMs.
- Lead factory readiness, capacity planning, production ramp-ups, and
continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure manufacturing execution aligns with certification requirements, grid-
code, and customer specifications.
- Drive standardization, repeatability, and cost-down initiatives as programs
- Executive oversight of supply chain performance across cells, PCS, BOS,
thermal systems, and safety systems.
- Govern supplier qualification, onboarding, and performance management.
- Ensure supply continuity through dual sourcing, risk mitigations, and
inventory strategies.
- Lead negotiation of strategic supplier agreements including MSAs, long-term
supply contracts, and capacity commitments, in partnership with legal and

suppliers, and field operations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards including UL 9540, UL 9540A,
NFPA 855, and U.S. grid and safety requirements.
- Lead root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventative quality
- Oversee EHS and safety programs across manufacturing, logistics, and site
- Partner with legal and compliance teams on regulatory interpretation; own

- Lead logistics strategy for containerized BESS delivery, including heavy-lift
coordination, sequencing, and risk mitigation.
- Ensure operational readiness for site deployment, commissioning, and
integration with customer infrastructure.
- Partner with Engineering and Project Delivery teams to meet schedule, cost,
quality, and performance commitments.
- Oversee field service operations, warranty execution, and ongoing
operational support.
- Executive ownership of manufacturer warranties and field performance
across deployed BESS assets.
- Govern lifecycle planning for long-life assets (10–20+ years), includingobsolescence management, PCNs/ECNs, and service strategies
- Ensure full traceability, data governance, and recall readiness across all
deployed systems.
- Lead operational risk management across manufacturing. supply chain, ,
logistics, and field execution.
- Define contingency plans, capacity buffers, and crisis response protocols.
- Act as the executive escalation point for operational disruptions impacting
customer deployments.
- Build, scale, and lead Operations organization covering manufacturing,
supply chain, quality, logistics, and field operations.
- Establish governance, operating cadence, KPIs, and cross-functional
escalation paths.
- Serve as senior cross functional leader, influencing engineering priorities
without direct ownership of R&D- 12+ years of progressive leadership experience overseeing operations
across manufacturing, supply chain, and product/ field deployment for companies delivering BESS or complex electro-mechanical systems directly
to customers.
- Demonstrated executive accountability for end-to-end operational execution,
including scale-up, delivery, quality, and lifecycle performance.
- Deep technical understanding of BESS architectures, including batteries,
PCS, BOS, thermal systems, and containerized solutions, across multiple
market segments.
- Proven success negotiating MSAs and long-term supply agreements, and
capacity commitments with OEMs, ODMs, and CMs.
- Strong background in quality management systems, certification compliance,
and field performance management.
- Experience operating in regulated environments with safety-critical systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or Supply Chain or related
technical field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience supporting hyperscale data centers, large C&I portfolios, and/or
utility-scale energy storage deployments.
- Deep familiarity with BESS certifications and standards, including UL9540 /
9540A, FAT/SAT processes, and grid interconnection requirements.
- Leadership experience in pre-launch, go to market, or, scale-up
environments, including startup or high growth organizations
- Experience building and leading operations organizations through rapid
growth and increasing customer demand.
- MBA or advanced degree in a technical or business-related discipline.The compensation range for this role is between $240,000 - $280,000 + Benefits.
